Privacy Policy

VoiceLedger (“we”, “us”, the “app”) is a personal finance tracker that lets you record income, expenses, accounts, debts and budgets — including by voice. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using VoiceLedger you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google or email, we receive your email address, display name and (for Google) your profile photo, used to create and secure your account.
Financial data you create. The transactions, accounts, wallets, liabilities, contacts, debts, budgets, categories and settings you enter. This is the content of your ledger.
Voice input. When you use voice entry, the audio you record is sent to our AI processing service to transcribe and interpret it into a transaction. Audio is used only to produce that result and is not stored by us after processing.
Microphone access. The app requests microphone permission solely to capture voice entries you initiate. We do not record in the background or without your action.

2. How we use your information

To provide the core service: storing and displaying your financial records.
To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To convert amounts between currencies using live exchange-rate data.
To transcribe and structure your voice entries into transactions.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted processors to run the app:

Google Firebase — authentication and cloud database (where your ledger is stored).
Google (Gemini AI) — transcription and interpretation of your voice input.
open.er-api.com — public exchange-rate data for currency conversion.
Vercel — hosting of the web app and API.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.

4. Data storage and security

Your financial data is stored in your own protected area of our cloud database and is accessible only to your authenticated account. Access is enforced by security rules so that one user cannot read another user’s data. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS).

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual records at any time within the app. To delete your entire account and associated data, contact us at saadaliwaqar1@gmail.com and we will remove it.

6. Children

VoiceLedger is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
